Being a chiropractor and getting to see the powerful impact it has on people’s lives gets me very excited - and I get to see it every day!

I first discovered the true health benefits of chiropractic when my chronic ear infections and eczema went away after getting regular adjustments at school. It made me experience first hand how important proper nervous system function is to every system in the body.

Why I Chose Chiropractic

I was always interested in health and wellness growing up, so becoming a chiropractor was a natural fit. I discovered chiropractic through a roommate of mine when I was studying at UNB. I started shadowing some chiropractic doctors in the Fredericton area and was amazed by patient satisfaction, as well as how truly passionate every chiropractor I met was about their profession and helping to better the lives of their community. I loved the idea of natural health care; I knew then, this was for me!

About Me

After spending four years in Fredericton for my undergrad, I fell in love with the city. I knew I wanted to come back and start my chiropractic practice here. I was also very fortunate to easily convince the love of my life (Dr. Jason Fortier), and also a chiropractor, to join me. I consider myself very lucky to have met my perfect match. I love spending time with my family - we have two “furry babies”, Marshall the dog and Coley the cat who we just cherish. We have plans on expanding our family, but all good things come to those who wait!

When I am not in the office, I am usually out and about doing something active. I grew up on skates and was highly involved with competitive figure skating. Since those days have passed, there isn’t anything I wouldn’t try. Some of my favorite activities include running, ultimate Frisbee, hockey, triathlons, and squash! I am always pushing myself to new limits and I crave that “runner’s high”. Some people call me crazy, but I just love feeling alive!

My Chiropractic Philosophy

I believe in the "Chiropractic Lifestyle! Be Fit. Eat Right. Think Well. Get Adjusted." Adopting all four components in a person’s life will help to restore and maintain a person’s optimal health! Having your spine assessed regularly for areas of stress is essential to achieve a healthier nervous system, this in turn, allows the body to self regulate and self heal at its best. When nerve function is optimized – better quality of life can be obtained.

It is my goal and passion to help empower people to be the best they can be. Our society is getting further and further away from wellness, but with proper guidance, empowerment, exercise, nutrition and chiropractic care, I know we can change our health for the better.

If you would like to start to take control of your own health and vitality, give us a call and join us in our mission to improve the health and wellness of Fredericton!

The Doctor Asks some important questions of interest to Fredericton residents - Chiropractor Fredericton The Doctor Asks...

What can a chiropractor do for asthma?
Many people think of chiropractic as exclusively dealing with the spine. But I'm interested in the spine because it covers the nervous system. Problems in the spine can produce problems in the organs and tissues controlled by the affected nerves—including those to the lungs and bronchial tubes. Find out how chiropractic care has helped those with asthma.
Which organs are extra?
You don't have any spare parts. Sure, we can survive without our tonsils, appendix, gall bladder and several other tissues, but each serves a purpose. We chiropractors recognize this. So the chiropractic approach I use in Fredericton is to reduce nerve interferences to the control and regulation of every tissue, organ and system of your body.
